Could the Warriors beat a team of East stars?

Share

While the Warriors themselves were full of high praise and empathy for the Celtics ahead of their showdown at TD Garden tonight, our friends at NBC Sports Bay Area appear to be getting a little ahead of themselves.

So, let's just scrap that current All-Star draft format and pit the two-time defending champions' starting five - recently boosted by the addition of big man DeMarcus Cousins - against the five All-Star starters from the East selected earlier this week.

That's Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Cousins and Kevin Durant of Golden State vs. the Raptors' Kawhi Leonard, the Celtics' Kyrie Irving, the Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo (who as a team captain along with LeBron James will draft the REAL All-Star teams next week), the Hornets' Kemba Walker and the 76ers' Joel Embiid.

Who do ya like? First, let's see the Dubs, winners of nine in a row, get past the Celtics, who have a five-game winning streak tonight.
