Damian Lillard to miss Celtics vs. Trail Blazers on Saturday

The Portland Trail Blazers will be without star point guard Damian Lillard for a while, including Saturday when they host the Boston Celtics.

Lillard has been ruled out for at least the next 10 days due to lower abdominal tendinopathy, the team announced Wednesday. The injury has nagged the six-time All-Star since the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Through 20 games this season, Lillard is averaging 21.5 points -- his lowest scoring average since 2014-15 -- and shooting a career-low 39.7% from the floor.

The Celtics will host the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night before beginning their west-coast road trip. They'll take on the Utah Jazz on Friday before heading to Portland to face the Lillard-less Blazers on Saturday night.
