Kara Lawson continues to get overwhelming support from her former Boston Celtics colleagues as she leaves to become the new Duke women's basketball head coach.

Celtics team president Danny Ainge paid tribute to Lawson on Saturday with a perfect Twitter post and photo of himself posing in a Duke jersey.

"Grateful for my association with ⁦@karalawson20! It’s truly amazing how some can have such an impact, on so many, in such a short amount of time," he wrote. "I will be the first one to complain for playing time. #putmeincoach."

It's clear the C's will miss Lawson, who was hired as an assistant coach last summer. Several players including Marcus Smart, Robert Williams, and Jayson Tatum have opened up about the positive impact Lawson has had on them.

The feeling was mutual, as Lawson posted a tribute of her own after accepting the Duke job.

"These men have changed my life. I have loved my time with the Boston Celtics," Lawson wrote Tuesday on Instagram. "Our players are authentic, intelligent, creative and passionate men. They motivated me every day to be my best for them."

The Celtics will replace Lawson in the Orlando bubble with Brandon Bailey, who is also in his first season as a Celtics assistant.
