Celtics

Like most of us during these days of isolation, Danny Ainge has found himself on social media providing some quality “day in the life” material for his followers.

One of the more memorable posts the Celtics president of basketball operations had was him in the backyard shooting jumpers while his dog, @LilWeezyDog (yes, he has his own Twitter account which has more than 2,300 followers and counting) on the court playing some dogged defense — pun totally intention.

That video, Ainge said, had a clear purpose.

“That was mostly directed towards Jayson (Tatum), to let him know he can use it anytime he wants; it’s all his,” Ainge said during a conference call with reporters on Wednesday. “I can even loan him Lil Weezy Dog too, to play defense for him on ball-handling drills.”

Tatum has said on more than one occasion that he has not touched a basketball since the season was suspended March 11, instead spending this time conditioning his body via workouts and weightlifting in addition to spending more time with his son Deuce.
