DeMarcus Cousins insists scuffle with several Celtics was “nothing”

"Angry Boogie" made a brief but memorable cameo Tuesday night at Oracle Arena.

In the fourth quarter of the Celtics' surprising rout of the Golden State Warriors, DeMarcus Cousins let out his frustration on Aron Baynes, barking at the Boston big man after getting called for an offensive foul.

Jayson Tatum and Terry Rozier quickly came to Baynes' defense, prompting Cousins to give both players a hearty shove.

So, what was all the fuss about, DeMarcus?

"It was silly," Cousins said of the spat, via NBC Sports Bay Area. “Nothing. It was nothing. Absolutely nothing. I thought it was silly.”

How exactly was it silly, DeMarcus?

"It was silly," he added. "It was just a silly play. ... To me it was nothing."

We'd imagine Cousins had some more thoughts about the incident he'd rather not share, which probably is in his best interest.

While the brief spat was just Boogie blowing off steam on a tough night, the Celtics probably didn't mind, as Cousins' tough act allowed Tatum and Rozier to show a little spunk and camaraderie in defense of their teammate.

Thanks for the inspiration, DeMarcus.
