The Boston Celtics apparently have found their big man.
Free-agent center Enes Kanter has agreed to a two-year, $10 million contract with the Celtics with a player option for the 2020-21 season, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Monday.
NBC Sports Boston's A. Sherrod Blakely confirmed the news of Kanter's agreement with Boston, while Kanter's agent, Hank Fetic, confirmed it's a two-year deal.
Kanter's brother also weighed in, posting a photo of the Turkey native wearing a No. 11 Celtics jersey on Twitter.
The 27-year-old big man averaged 13.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game last season in 67 contests split between the New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers.
Kanter reportedly was expected to take a phone call with the Celtics in free agency and was seen as one of their main frontcourt options in the wake of Al Horford's departure to the Philadelphia 76ers.
