Watch: Ex-Celtic nearly injured in Pacers postgame celebration fail

Aaron Nesmith's third NBA season is off to an eventful start, to say the least.

The Celtics' 14th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft is getting more playing time with the Pacers after Boston traded him to Indiana this summer as part of the Malcolm Brogdon deal.

Nesmith delivered his best game in a Pacers uniform Saturday night, scoring 19 points on 5 of 10 shooting and hitting several clutch free throws to seal Indiana's 114-113 win.

Nesmith's heroics earned him a walk-off interview and a postgame water bath from his teammates. But that water bath went sideways in a hurry.

The sneak attack surprised Nesmith, who slipped on the wet court and fell very awkwardly. It was the type of fall that often leads to injury, but thankfully Nesmith was fine.

That's good news for the Pacers, who are one of the NBA's early surprises at 9-6 through 15 games. Nesmith's play has been erratic, but he already has three double-digit scoring efforts and is averaging 7.4 points over 20.1 minutes per game after contributing just 3.8 points over 11.0 minutes per contest with the Celtics last season.
