Share

Are you a fantasy basketball enthusiast? Are you also a visual learner?

If so, you've come to the right place.

Rather than pontificate about the fantasy value of every NBA player, our staff at NBC Sports Boston decided to put its collective knowledge to the test with a draft. That's right: a real, actual draft.

So, we collected 10 of our biggest hoop-heads for a live, 13-round snake draft on Yahoo. Here are the league details: weekly head-to-head scoring, nine scoring categories (turnovers included) and a standard roster (PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, C, UTIL, UTIL, Bench, Bench, Bench).

How'd it all shake out? Below are the full round-by-round results, with our takeaways for each round.

Best sleepers to target | Potential busts to avoid | Top rookies in fantasyWhich Celtics should you draft?

ROUND 1

1. Pat Dunne -- Giannis Antetokounmpo, SF/PF, Milwaukee Bucks
2. Jason Levine -- Anthony Davis, PF/C, Los Angeles Lakers
3. Peter Madden -- Stephen Curry, PG/SG, Golden State Warriors
4. Darren Hartwell -- James Harden, PG/SG, Houston Rockets
5. Kwani Lunis -- Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves
6. Jacob Camenker -- Nikola Jokic, C, Denver Nuggets
7. Jon Henrie -- Joel Embiid, PF/C, Philadelphia 76ers
8. Nick Goss -- LeBron James, SF/PF, Los Angeles Lakers
9. Justin Leger -- Damian Lillard, PG, Portland Trail Blazers
10. Michael DePrisco -- Kemba Walker, PG, Boston Celtics

Analysis: Michael wasted no time displaying this league's homerism by taking Walker well before his No. 17 average draft position. Maybe he'll prove me wrong, but Walker ahead of Westbrook and Irving seems a bit too soon.

ROUND 2

11. Michael -- Bradley Beal, SG, Washington Wizards
12. Justin -- Rudy Gobert, C, Utah Jazz
13. Nick -- DeAndre Ayton, C, Phoenix Suns
14. Jon -- Kawhi Leonard, SG/SF, Los Angeles Clippers
15. Jacob -- Russell Westbrook, PG, Houston Rockets
16. Kwani -- Kyrie Irving, PG/SG, Brooklyn Nets
17. Darren  -- Jimmy Butler, SG/SF, Miami Heat
18. Peter -- Trae Young, PG, Atlanta Hawks
19. Jason -- Luka Doncic, PG, Dallas Mavericks
20. Pat -- Jrue Holiday, PG/SG, New Orleans Pelicans

Analysis: Ayton at No. 13 is a bold pick by Nick, who admits to being tempted by the big man's apparent quest to shoot 3-pointers this season. If Ayton makes more threes than Ben Simmons (Nick's next pick), call it a success.

ROUND 3

21. Pat -- Paul George, SF/PF, Los Angeles Clippers
22. Jason -- De'Aaron Fox, PG, Sacramento Kings
23. Peter -- Pascal Siakam, PF, Toronto Raptors
24. Darren -- Myles Turner, PF/C, Indiana Pacers
25. Kwani -- Nikola Vucevic, PF/C, Orlando Magic
26. Jacob -- Andre Drummond, PF/C, Detroit Pistons
27. Jon  -- Mitchell Robinson, C, New York Knicks
28. Nick -- Ben Simmons, PG, Philadelphia 76ers
29. Justin -- Devin Booker, PG/SG, Phoenix Suns
30. Michael -- Jayson Tatum, SF/PF, Boston Celtics

Analysis: Here's your run on centers! Jacob got decent value with Andre Drummond, who can single-handedly win your rebound category and typically is going in the early third round.

ROUND 4

31. Michael -- Kristaps Porzingis, PF/C, Dallas Mavericks
32. Justin -- Draymond Green, PF/C, Golden State Warriors
33. Nick -- DeAngelo Russell, PG/SG, Golden State Warriors
34. Jon -- Chris Paul, PG, Oklahoma City Thunder
35. Jacob -- Donovan Mitchell, PG/SG, Utah Jazz
36. Kwani -- John Collins, PF/C, Atlanta Hawks
37. Darren  -- Jaren Jackson Jr., PF/C, Memphis Grizzlies
38. Peter -- Zion Williamson, PF, New Orleans Pelicans
39. Jason -- DeMar DeRozan, SG/SF, San Antonio Spurs
40. Pat -- Buddy Hield, SG, Sacramento Kings

Analysis: Peter took a gamble on Williamson in Round 4 despite the news he could miss the first few weeks of the season with a knee injury. The Pelicans likely will be cautious with the No. 1 overall pick, which makes me wary.

ROUND 5

41. Pat -- Khris Middleton, SG/SF, Milwaukee Bucks
42. Jason -- Jamal Murray, PG/SG, Denver Nuggets
43. Peter -- Lauri Markkanen, PF, Chicago Bulls
44. Darren -- Otto Porter, SF/PF, Chicago Bulls
45. Kwani -- Mike Conley, PG, Utah Jazz
46. Jacob -- Blake Griffin, PF/C, Detroit Pistons
47. Jon  -- LaMarcus Aldridge, PF/C, San Antonio Spurs
48. Nick -- CJ McCollum, PG/SG, Portland Trail Blazers
49. Justin -- Clint Capela, PF/C, Houston Rockets
50. Michael -- Aaron Gordon, SF/PF, Orlando Magic

Analysis: Jason reached a bit for Jamal Murray based on his ADP, but I like the pick. The 22-year-old easily could be a top-40 fantasy player after improving in each of his first three seasons.

ROUND 6

51. Michael -- Bam Adebayo, PF/C, Miami Heat
52. Justin -- Tobias Harris, SF/PF, Philadelphia 76ers
53. Nick -- Zach Levine, PG/SG, Chicago Bulls
54. Jon -- Brook Lopez, C, Milwaukee Bucks
55. Jacob -- Julius Randle, PF/C, New York Knicks
56. Kwani -- Robert Covington, SF/PF, Minnesota Timberwolves
57. Darren  -- Kyle Lowry, PG, Toronto Raptors
58. Peter -- Gordon Hayward, SG/SF, Boston Celtics
59. Jason -- Marvin Bagley III, PF, Sacramento Kings
60. Pat -- Eric Bledsoe, PG/SG, Milwaukee Bucks

Analysis: Feeling bold after his Zion pick, Peter rolled the dice again on Hayward, who has top-60 potential ... if he can rediscover his "old" self. The ceiling on these two picks is high, but the risk is even higher.

ROUND 7

61. Pat -- Kevin Love, PF/C, Cleveland Cavaliers
62. Jason -- Danilo Gallinari, SF/PF, Oklahoma City Thunder
63. Peter -- Jonathan Isaac, PF/C, Orlando Magic
64. Darren -- Malcolm Brogdon, PG/SG, Milwaukee Bucks
65. Kwani -- Derrick Favors, PF/C, New Orleans Pelicans
66. Jacob -- Steven Adams, C, Oklahoma City Thunder
67. Jon  -- Al Horford, PF/C, Philadelphia 76ers
68. Nick -- Caris LeVert, SG/SF, Brooklyn Nets
69. Justin -- Terry Rozier, PG/SG, Charlotte Hornets
70. Michael -- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, PG/SG, Oklahoma City Thunder

Analysis: Don't sleep on SGA, folks. The plucky 21-year-old could have a high usage rate if Chris Paul misses any time and is a solid mid-round pick.

ROUND 8

71. Michael -- Lonzo Ball, PG, New Orleans Pelicans
72. Justin -- Ja Morant, PG, Memphis Grizzlies
73. Nick -- Damontas Sabonis, PF/C, Indiana Pacers
74. Jon -- Kelly Oubre, SF, Phoenix Suns
75. Jacob -- Victor Oladipo, PG/SG, Indiana Pacers
76. Kwani -- Josh Richardson, SG/SF, Philadelphia 76ers
77. Darren  -- Wendell Carter Jr., C, Chicago Bulls
78. Peter -- Montrezl Harrell, PF/C, Los Angeles Clippers
79. Jason -- Jaylen Brown, SG/SF, Boston Celtics
80. Pat -- Thomas Bryant, C, Washington Wizards

Analysis: Jason broke Nick's heart here by taking Jaylen Brown. (Seriously: Nick's team name is was "Give Jaylen The Max.") No. 79 is also a little early to take Brown, but it was worth it to watch Nick sweat.

ROUND 9

81. Pat -- Hassan Whiteside, C, Portland Trail Blazers
82. Jason -- Jonas Valanciunas, C, Memphis Grizzlies
83. Peter -- DeAndre Jordan, C, Brooklyn Nets
84. Darren -- Dejounte Murray, PG, San Antonio Spurs
85. Kwani -- Larry Nance Jr., PF/C, Cleveland Cavaliers
86. Jacob -- Andrew Wiggins, SG/SF, Minnesota Timberwolves
87. Jon  -- Fred VanFleet, PG, Toronto Raptors
88. Nick -- Brandon Ingram, SG/SF, New Orleans Pelicans
89. Justin -- Marc Gasol, C, Toronto Raptors
90. Michael -- Marcus Smart, PG/SG, Boston Celtics

Analysis: I was a big fan of Dejounte Murray last season before he tore his ACL, and I'm back on the hype train this year. There's obviously a risk with a player coming off a serious injury, but I'm happy with him in Round 9.

ROUND 10

91. Michael -- Justise Winslow, PF, Miami Heat
92. Justin -- Ricky Rubio, PG, Phoenix Suns
93. Nick -- Kyle Kuzma, SF/PF, Los Angeles Lakers
94. Jon -- Joe Ingles, SG/SF, Utah Jazz
95. Jacob -- Derrick White, PG/SG, San Antonio Spurs
96. Kwani -- Miles Bridges, SF, Charlotte Hornets
97. Darren  -- Delon Wright, PG/SG, Dallas Mavericks
98. Peter -- JJ Redick, SG, New Orleans Pelicans
99. Jason -- Lou Williams, PG/SG, Los Angeles Clippers
100. Pat -- Jeff Teague, PG, Minnesota Timberwolves

Analysis: People forget that Joe Ingles averaged 12.1 points and 5.7 assists last season. People tend to forget about Ingles in general. Props to Jon for remembering and getting good value in the 10th round.

ROUND 11

101. Pat -- Jarrett Allen, PF/C, Brooklyn Nets
102. Jason -- Serge Ibaka, PF/C, Toronto Raptors
103. Peter -- Collin Sexton, PG, Cleveland Cavaliers
104. Darren -- Jeremy Lamb, SG/SF, Indiana Pacers
105. Kwani -- Mikal Bridges, SG/SF, Phoenix Suns
106. Jacob -- R.J. Barrett, SF, New York Knicks
107. Jon  -- Dewayne Dedmon, C, Sacramento Kings
108. Nick -- Brandon Clarke, PF, Memphis Grizzlies
109. Justin -- T.J. Warren, SF/PF, Indiana Pacers
110. Michael -- Terrence Ross, SG/SF, Orlando Pacers

Analysis: Ibaka probably shouldn't have dropped this late, as he's in line for a higher usage rate after Kawhi Leonard's departure. Jason also reunited him with former Raptors teammate Jonas Valanciunas, which is nice of him.

ROUND 12

111. Michael -- Enes Kanter, C, Boston Celtics
112. Justin -- Paul Millsap, PF/C, Denver Nuggets
113. Nick -- Dwayne Bacon, SG, Charlotte Hornets
114. Jon -- Nicolas Batum, SG/SF, Charlotte Hornets
115. Jacob -- Bodgan Bodgdanovic, SG/SF, Sacramento Kings
116. Kwani -- Gary Harris, SG/SF, Denver Nuggets
117. Darren  -- Bojan Bodgdanovic, SG/SF, Utah Jazz
118. Peter -- Eric Gordon, SG, Houston Rockets
119. Jason -- Evan Fournier, SG/SF, Orlando Magic
120. Pat -- Patrick Beverley, PG/SG, Los Angeles Clippers

Analysis: We've reached the "Which Bodgdanovic should I draft?" section of the program. Bojan has the higher ADP, but Jacob is putting his faith in the younger brother, who admittedly has higher upside.

ROUND 13

121. Pat -- Carsen Edwards, PG, Boston Celtics
122. Jason -- Alex Len, PF/C, Atlanta Hawks
123. Peter -- Dwight Powell, PF/C, Dallas Mavericks
124. Darren -- Tyler Herro, SG, Miami Heat
125. Kwani -- Tomas Satoransky, PG/SG, Chicago Bulls
126. Jacob -- Isaiah Thomas, PG, Washington Wizards
127. Jon  -- Thaddeus Young, SF/PF, Chicago Bulls
128. Nick -- Coby White, PG, Chicago Bulls
129. Justin -- Spencer Dinwiddie, PG, Brooklyn Nets
130. Michael -- Grant Williams, PF, Boston Celtics

Analysis: The last round is your chance to irrationally draft a player you love. Our league took this to heart, taking two Celtics rookies and a former C's fan favorite to round things out.
