Kiah Gillespie, selected with the 32nd pick of the WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky, reached out to Thomas for some advice on how to succeed.

Gillespie, the 32nd out of 36 total selections, had to wait a little longer than expected to hear her name called, but Thomas knows a little something about what that's like. The former Celtic was drafted by the Sacramento Kings in the second round (the 60th and final selection overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft.

Thomas also knows how much of a grind it can be to reach your goals. He's played for seven teams in his 11-year career and often exceeded expectations, particularly in Boston, so it's no surprise Gillespie decided to reach out.

Last season with Florida State, Gillespie led the team in scoring, rebounding and field-goals made. It'll be difficult for her to make the Sky as they only have one roster spot open, but it sounds as if she's determined to take I.T.'s advice.
