The Milwaukee Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo when they visit the Boston Celtics on Friday night.
The two-time NBA MVP has been ruled out with a right ankle injury, Bucks head coach Mike Budenholtzer announced. He had been listed as probable on the team's most recent injury report.
Antetokounmpo suffered the injury during Wednesday’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers. While it doesn't appear to be serious, Milwaukee understandably is taking a cautious approach with its five-time All-Star.
Khris Middleton also will be missing for the Bucks as he remains in NBA health and safety protocols after testing positive for COVID-19. The Celtics will be short-handed as well with Jaylen Brown sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Tip-off for Celtics-Bucks is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Boston.
