Heat troll Celtics with reference to infamous Cowboys tweet

The Miami Heat added insult to injury after earning a comeback win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

After erasing a 14-point deficit en route to a 98-95 victory, the Heat social media team trolled the C's with a hilarious reference to the Dallas Cowboys' infamous Dak Prescott tweet. In case you missed it, the Cowboys' Twitter account singled out the quarterback's turnovers as the reason for their Divisional Round loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Celtics-Heat takeaways: Fourth-quarter rut costs shorthanded C's

The Heat took a page out of their playbook, blaming the Celtics' 17 turnovers for their demise.

"Celtics gave away the ball 17 times in the narrow loss to the HEAT, in a matchup the Celtics had a chance to win if they didn’t again generate self-inflicted wounds," the tweet read.

Well played, Heat social team.

Not only is it a funny joke, it's a correct observation. Boston's turnovers arguably were the primary reason for its deflating defeat. The game effectively ended on a brutal Jayson Tatum turnover to top off the frustrating fourth quarter. Tatum accounted for seven of the C's 17 turnovers.

The Celtics also had 18 turnovers in Monday's loss to the Orlando Magic. That's something they'll need to fix before facing the New York Knicks back home at TD Garden on Thursday night.
