Kemba Walker will officially be introduced as a member of the Boston Celtics on Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET.

Walker already has signed his four-year, $141 max contract with the C's, but he has yet to take part in an introductory press conference with the media. This event will take place at the Auerbach Center in Brighton, Mass., and NBC Sports Boston will have live television coverage of Walker's introduction and a live stream on the MyTeams app.

The presser will include Celtics lead owner and governor Wyc Grousbeck, Celtics managing partner and co-owner Stephen Pagliuca, Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge, Celtics team president Rich Gotham, Celtics head coach Brad Stevens, and, of course, Walker.

Walker was one of the best players available in NBA free agency when the market opened June 30. He will replace Kyrie Irving as the team's starting point guard.

The 29-year-old veteran is coming off the best season of his career. The former Charlotte Hornets point guard averaged a career-high 25.6 points, in addition to being voted an All-Star starter and selected to the all-NBA third team.

He will wear No. 8 for Boston.
