BY THE NUMBERS

MR. EVERYTHING

Forget all the points -- and there were a lot of them, a season-high 43 to be exact -- or the assists -- 11 of those, too. Kyrie Irving almost single-handedly willed the Celtics to an overtime victory over the Raptors on Friday night, but his relentless efforts were maybe best exemplified on the defensive end of the floor where he is far less renowned.

AND IT DIDN'T GO UNNOTICED

An old friend of Kyrie's -- none other than LeBron James -- gave him props afterwards.

NOT ONLY THAT . . .

. . . but Kyrie reached a career milestone, as well.

DIDN'T DO IT ALONE

The man getting dapped up by one teammate after another following the win was Gordon Hayward, who delivered what was arguably his most complete game of the season.

Watch out: Robert Williams' "Time Lord" nickname may draw fitting sponsor

Watch out: Robert Williams' "Time Lord" nickname may draw fitting sponsor

Never underestimate the power of the internet.

That was where Robert Williams' "Time Lord" nickname first originated as the brainchild of Ryan Hebert, aka @HebertofRiffs on Twitter.

Fast forward to Friday afternoon, when the "Time Lord" hype appeared earn the Boston Celtics rookie a shot at a sponsorship with ... a major watch company?

Well played, Timex.

This actually would be the perfect partnership: If Williams has his own customized watch, he'll never sleep through a conference call or a miss a flight again.

And what better way for Timex to promote its brand than through the Lord of Time himself?

Danny Ainge and Williams' sister may throw a wrench in the deal if they succeed in changing the young big man's nickname. (Both aren't fans of the moniker.) But considering the "Time Lord" is getting literal sponsorship offers now, we're guessing the nickname is here to stay.

'Merry Terry' Rozier plays Santa Clause for unsuspecting Dorchester family

'Merry Terry' Rozier plays Santa Clause for unsuspecting Dorchester family

He may be Scary Terry on the court, but when it comes to the Christmas season, Celtics guard Terry Rozier becomes Merry Terry.

Rozier played Santa Claus for a teenage fan named Junior and his family in Dorchester, suprising them with a sack full of gifts.

The goodies included a basketball, Celtics jerseys, and a few pairs of Pumas, Rozier's sneaker and apparel sponsor.

Rozier's charity work is through his foundation, 12 Blessings.

"It's all about giving back for people in need," said Rozier.

Rozier certainly put a smile on the faces of Junior and his family. Be on the look out - maybe Merry Terry will strike again.
