There's plenty of hometown basketball to be watched this New Year's Eve.
The Boston Celtics' G-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws, host the Delaware Blue Coats (NBA affiliate: Philadelphia 76ers) at 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday as a lead-in to Boston's game against the Charlotte Hornets at 3 p.m. ET.
Celtics fans will recognize plenty of faces in Maine: Tacko Fall and Tremont Waters both are expected to play, while point guard Carsen Edwards was just assigned to the Red Claws on Monday.
Edwards is averaging 21.8 points over four games for Maine this season and should make for a fearsome guard duo alongside Waters, who leads all Red Claws regulars with 20.6 points per game.
