Isaiah Thomas the latest ex-Celtic to accuse Marcus Smart of flopping

Share

Marcus Smart is one of only two players on the Celtics' current roster to play alongside Isaiah Thomas during his time in Boston. Although Thomas makes it clear it's all love with the city he used to call home, he couldn't help but throw some shade at his former teammate.

Thomas was asked whether his intel on the C's could help the Wizards in their Wednesday matchup, and he immediately brought up Smart.

"He flops," Thomas joked.

Watch below:

I.T. isn't the only ex-teammate of Smart's to feel this way. Before the C's and 76ers faced off in this year's season opener, Al Horford commended Smart for "doing such a good job of flopping."

Smart's ability to draw fouls -- by flopping or otherwise -- may get under the skin of his opponents. But the longest-tenured Celtic simply does whatever it takes to win. While Thomas and Horford poke fun at Smart for his antics, there's no doubt they're appreciative of everything he brought to the table as a teammate.
