The Memphis Grizzlies announced that Ja Morant will be away from the team for at least the next two games after he appeared to flash a gun in an Instagram Live video early Saturday morning.

The video was posted after the Grizzliesā€™ road loss to the Denver Nuggets Friday night. NBA spokesperson Mike Bass said on Saturday that the league is aware of the post and has started an investigation.

Morant released a statement later on Saturday saying he takes ā€œfull responsibility for my actions last night.ā€

It has been a tumultuous week for Morant. On Wednesday, Molly Hensley-Clancy of The Washington Post reported that Morant was accused of punching a 17-year-old more than a dozen times and flashing a gun at him last summer. The story included another incident in which Morant allegedly threatened a mall security guard and that a member of Morantā€™s group pushed the security guard, citing police reports.

In early February, Morant tweeted that one of his friends received a year-long ban from FedExForum, the Grizzliesā€™ home arena, as a result of a confrontation between his circle and members of the Indiana Pacers organization following a game on Jan. 29.

The Grizzliesā€™ next two games are in Los Angeles with one against the Clippers on Sunday and one against the Lakers on Tuesday. The team will then return to Memphis for a Thursday contest against the Golden State Warriors.
