Jaylen Brown became youngest Celtics player to accomplish this Christmas feat

Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown gave his best performance of the season in Wednesday's Christmas win over the Toronto Raptors, and he made a bit of history in the process.

Brown scored 30 points on 10-for-13 shooting (5-for-6 from 3-point range), including a 16-point third quarter as the Celtics blew the game open.

The 23-year-old star also became the youngest Celtics player to score 30 or more points on Christmas -- a feat that stood for more than 60 years.

Brown is in the midst of an All Star-caliber season. He's averaging 20.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 51.2 percent from the floor. Consistency has been a huge part of Brown's game this season, and in December he's scored 20-plus points in seven of the 10 games he's played. His defensive versatility, highlighted by the ability to guard multiple positions, also has been valuable to the Celtics.

He signed a four-year, $115 million contract extension before the season, and if his performance continues at this pace or improves, that deal could quickly become one of the better-looking bargains in the league.
