It's not every day that the Boston Celtics get to play on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Jaylen Brown emphasized the importance of what today means with the crowd ahead of the C's matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Thank you for being here today," Brown said before tip-off. "Today we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King. His vision, his sacrifice, and his fight for equality is more important now than it is ever. On behalf of the Boston Celtics and the NBA, thank you for being here and celebrating his legacy. We still have work to do."

Martin Luther King's influence stretches beyond what he could've ever imagined. With the help of athletes like Brown, King's message of equality for all is brought to light nearly every day.

The movement for justice and equality, like Brown said, has a long way to go. But expect the Celtics players to continue to be a part of it.
