Monday is a special day for Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal.

First of all, he's celebrating his 28th birthday. Second, the roster for the United States' men's basketball team for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics was announced and, as expected, Beal is in the squad

One of Beal's Olympic teammates is his good friend and Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum. Tatum gave Beal a special birthday shoutout on Instagram. Check it out in the post below:

Beal could be one of the most talked about stars in the NBA next season.

He's able to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2022. Beal didn't reveal much about his future when asked about it after the Wizards were eliminated by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 2021 NBA playoffs.

Beal has been linked to the Celtics in various trade rumors and speculation in recent years. Could he actually come to Boston at some point? We'll see, but the Celtics do need a third star to reach the upper tier of contenders. The Olympics also is a great place for players to recruit upcoming free agents.
