Jimmy Butler’s return to Timberwolves practice blows up the internet

Whether Jimmy Butler ever teams up with Kyrie Irving on the Celtics remains to be seen, but his attempt to get out of Minnesota took another strange turn Wednesday when he practiced for the first time this season after a proposed trade to the Miami Heat fell through.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the scrimmage featured Butler - who demanded a trade from the Timberwolves three weeks ago - verbally challenging teammates, coaches and front office personnel.

At one point in a scrimmage, sources said, Butler turned to GM Scott Layden and screamed, "You (bleeping) need me. You can't win without me." Butler left teammates and coaches largely speechless. He dominated the gym in every way. Jimmy's back.
