C's guard/forward Josh Richardson enters COVID-19 protocols

Still without Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics will be down another man Friday night against the Phoenix Suns.

Reserve guard/forward Josh Richardson has entered COVID-19 health and safety protocols, the Celtics announced, leaving them further shorthanded against the team with the second-best record in the NBA.

Richardson, in his first season with the Celtics, is averaging 9.7 points per game in 20 appearances off the bench.

Phoenix recently had its franchise-record 18-game win streak snapped by the Golden State Warriors -- the only team in the NBA with a better record (21-4) than their own (20-4) -- but are hosting a Boston team that's dropped three of four on its western road trip so far, including back-to-back contests against the Los Angeles teams.

Tip-off against the Suns is at 10 p.m. ET.
