Perkins, Scalabrine reflect on Kevin Garnett's legacy

Kendrick Perkins and Brian Scalabrine celebrated alongside Kevin Garnett as the Boston Celtics great famously shouted "anything is possible!" after the 2008 NBA championship.

Today, they look back fondly on everything Garnett brought to the Celtics orgnanization and the game of basketball as a whole. With KG getting enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Baksetball Hall of Fame on Saturday, Perk and Scal shared their thoughts on the 15-time All-Star's impact.

Forsberg: Which team should scare C's most in play-in tournament?

"When you talk about all of the accolades, there's nothing that he hasn't accomplished. And to me, KG right now will go down as the most skilled power forward to ever play the game of basketball," Perkins said on Celtics Pregame Live. "He had zero flaws in his game. Zero holes on both ends of the floor. You talk about a guy who could switch out 1 through 5, guard guards, guard bigs, a guy that had mid-range, 3-point shot, he had those dimes, he had handles. There was nothing that "Big Ticket" couldn't do. I'm just happy to see him get exactly what he deserves and that he earned.

Scal's lasting impression of Garnett was the mentality he brought to the locker room day in and day out.

"He makes you believe that you can do anything," Scalabrine said. "He makes you believe that you belong. He makes you believe that you're better than some All-Star that you're going against. ... That whole 'anything is possible,' that is legit how everyone on that team felt from top to bottom."

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens also reflected on Garnett's legacy while remembering his first experience seeing KG play in person.

Joining Garnett in the Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2020 are San Antonio Spurs great Tim Duncan and Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.
