Kendrick Perkins roasts Cavs after Celtics, Carsen Edwards cruise to easy win

Kendrick Perkins did not shy away from criticizing the Cleveland Cavaliers on Twitter after another horrendous loss to the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics destroyed the Cavs by 46 points in a preseason game in Boston earlier this week. Boston traveled to Cleveland for Tuesday night's preseason finale at Quicken Loans Arena and left most of its best players back home. The C's, despite not having a full squad, dominated the Cavs again with a 118-85 victory.

Celtics rookie guard Carsen Edwards put on a show in the third quarter, hitting eight 3-point shots in the period and finishing the game with a team-high 30 points.

Perkins, who played for the Celtics and Cavs (among other teams) during his 14-year career, roasted Cleveland on Twitter for Tuesday's performance.

The second post-LeBron James era has been rough in Cleveland, and more pain likely is on the way. The Cavs have a new head coach in John Beilein, a lot of young and inexperienced players, and only one star-caliber veteran in Kevin Love.

Oddsmakers at the Westgate in Las Vegas have set the Cavaliers' 2019-20 season win total at 24, and only the Charlotte Hornets have a lower number. It wouldn't be surprising at all if Cleveland goes under that win total. This team is in another rebuild and should prioritize improving its NBA Draft Lottery odds.
