Kevin Garnett arrives at Celtics-Lakers wearing green Rajon Rondo jersey

The Boston Celtics will have a special guest at TD Garden for Thursday night's showdown with the Los Angeles Lakers, and we're not talking about any of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots expected to be in attendance.

Kevin Garnett, the C's legend who helped lead the franchise to two NBA Finals against the Lakers (including a championship in 2008), arrived to the Garden wearing a jersey of his former teammate, Rajon Rondo.

Here are some pre-game pictures of KG, including an old foe from Los Angeles.

Rondo, of course, now plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. The veteran point guard should receive a nice ovation when he enters the game for the first time. Many fans still have a great affinity for Rondo and his contributions to that 2008 title team and beyond.

Thursday's game also is the first meeting between the Celtics and Lakers since LeBron James signed with L.A. over the summer as a free agent. Between the Patriots, James and old C's legends in attendance, it should be an exciting night at the Garden.
