Knicks favored over Celtics to win Las Vegas Summer League title

As the Knicks suffered through a dismal 17-win season, New York fans were still hopeful.

Hopeful of winning the draft lottery and picking Zion Williamson. Hopeful of signing both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in free agency. Hopeful of leapfrogging from the NBA cellar to a surefire title contender in the 2019-20 season.

But as we all know, things didn't work out for the Knicks... yet again.

However, diehard Knicks fans can now cling to this piece of good news: the team is favored to win a title this year. Unfortunately, it's just the Las Vegas Summer League championship.

Led by No. 3 overall pick RJ Barrett, the Knicks Summer League roster also features Kevin Knox, Mitchell Robinson and Allonzo Trier. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has installed the Knicks as 10/1 favorites for the event, which features all 30 NBA teams along with squads from China and Croatia.

The Celtics are tied with the Hawks, Suns and Heat at 20/1, the sixth best odds in the field. Boston's roster features all four 2019 draft picks -- Romeo Langford, Grant Williams, Carsen Edwards and Tremont Waters -- along with other notables like Robert Williams III, Guerschon Yabusele and Tacko Fall.

All four of the Celtics' Summer League games can be seen on NBC Sports Boston or streamed on the MyTeams App, starting with their opener at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers. Here is the C's full schedule:
