Kyrie Irving apologizes for flat earth statements

Kyrie Irving sent the sports world in to near chaos when he floated the idea that the earth was flat at the All-Star break in 2017.

Ever since, he's been giving indefinitive statements about whether he was serious or not. Until now. On Monday he apologized during the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit to science teachers everywhere, declaring he does not think the earth is flat.

“At the time I was huge into conspiracies. Everybody’s been there," Irving said. "Like, YO WHAT'S GOING ON WITH OUR WORLD? It seemed innocent but then you realize the power of voice.

“I’m sorry for all of that to all the science teachers telling me they had to re-teach the curriculum."

Before apologizing, Irving proclaimed it would be the last time he talks about the subject. Now we can all move on.
