BOSTON -- The Celtics will be without their leading scorer tonight when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Kyrie Irving has been ruled out after suffering a scratched right eye injury in Boston’s 120-111 loss at San Antonio on Sunday.

Irving, who averages a team-best 23.1 points per game this season along with 6.6 assists, will be missing his third game this season.

As expected, Terry Rozier will get the start with Irving out. Rozier has been the starter in place of Irving for the two games he missed previously this season. In those games, Rozier averaged 16.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 55 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range.
