Marcus Smart gushes about Jayson Tatum, gives health update in Twitter AMA

Marcus Smart is itching for the 2019-NBA season to resume -- and tweeting his way through the downtime.

With the NBA restart in Orlando about a month away, the Boston Celtics guard opened his Twitter feed up to fans Sunday night in a virtual "Ask Me Anything" session.

Turns out lots of people were up with lots of questions.

Smart talked plenty about his current and former teammates, admitting he misses ex-Celtics guard Terry Rozier while showing some love for big man Daniel Theis.

Smart had especially high praise for young wings Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, insisting the former could be the best player in the NBA one day.

As for Smart himself? The 26-year-old revealed he's been playing pickup regularly and feels no ill effects from testing positive for COVID-19 in March.

Smart also is bullish on the Celtics' chances as they enter the Orlando "bubble" as the Eastern Conference's No. 3 seed.

Boston and 21 other teams will have to adapt to playing in front of no fans. Smart wouldn't mind some arenas pumping in their own "crowd noise," though, and has a couple creative ideas for the league to consider.

Above all, Smart just wants to get back to playing basketball.

Training camps for bubble-eligible teams are set to begin this week, and the Celtics' first game in Orlando is set for July 31 against the Milwaukee Bucks. Only four more weeks, Marcus!
