The New England Patriots are a little thin at quarterback right now as Jarrett Stidham deals with a leg injury.
Should they call up Marcus Smart?
We know the Boston Celtics guard is an impressive athlete, and he's built like a football player at 6-foot-3, 227 pounds. Apparently he can sling it, too.
Here's Smart chucking a football a long way while standing in a pool in the NBA bubble, courtesy of Enes Kanter's Instagram story Monday:
Based on one Twitter detective's highly scientific study, that's a 43-yard pass Smart just threw on the money with his legs submerged in water.
Smart apparently played competitive football until sixth grade, too, so he has the "experience." Sign him up!
If Smart doesn't leave Orlando to join the Patriots at training camp, he'll join the Celtics on Thursday to battle the Toronto Raptors in Game 1 of their second-round playoff series.
