Reliving the best moments in Celtics' 75-year history

The 2021-22 season marks the 75th anniversary of the NBA. And no team has had more success over those 75 years than the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics were one of 11 teams that played in the league's inaugural season in 1946-47, and by the 1950s, they were a powerhouse: Boston won 11 championships over a 13-year span from 1956-57 to 1968-69.

The C's have won a total of 17 NBA titles, tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for the most of any team, and have the third-best overall winning percentage in league history.

It's safe to say they've had plenty of memorable moments over the years, from Chuck Connors breaking the backboard in the franchise's first-ever home game to the dominance of the "Big Three" in 2008.

Throughout the 2021-22 season, NBC Sports Boston will look back at those great moments in Celtics history. Check out our updated list below.
