NBA Rumors: Cavs players upset over Kyle Korver's trade to Jazz

The LeBron James-era Cleveland Cavaliers are slowly being dismantled, and it doesn't sound like an enjoyable process.

The Cavs reportedly traded veteran forward Kyle Korver to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday for guard Alec Burks and two draft picks.

The trade hardly was a surprising move considering Cleveland is in a rebuild, but according to The Athletic's Joe Vardon, it still didn't go over well in the locker room.

Multiple Cavs players are upset with the trading of Korver, insofar as this is a team with very little outside shooting. ... Subtracting him from the team only makes it harder to win games, they feel.

Korver was playing just 15.7 minutes per game in Cleveland, but his 46.3 percent clip from 3-point range still stretched the floor on offense. With their sharpshooter gone and Kevin Love recovering from foot surgery, the 4-16 Cavs -- who visit TD Garden to play the Boston Celtics on Friday night -- likely will fall further into the Eastern Conference basement.

But that's the harsh reality of an NBA rebuild, which Vardon notes has been particularly hard on team veterans like Tristan Thompson, Channing Frye and J.R. Smith -- who reportedly is negotiating his own ticket out of town.
