The Boston Celtics apparently are among several NBA teams going Holiday shopping this offseason.
The Celtics are aiming to trade up in the 2020 NBA Draft to swing a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans for Jrue Holiday, The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor reported earlier this week.
According to Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix, though, they'll have plenty of competition for the veteran guard.

Boston has the benefit of three first round picks (No. 14, No. 26 and No. 30), which it could package in a deal to land a top-10 selection and send that pick to New Orleans as part of a Holiday deal.
The Denver Nuggets only have one draft pick at No. 22 overall, but they could entice the Pelicans with several young players on favorable contracts: Michael Porter, Torrey Craig and Monte Morris are all making under $4 million per year.

Holiday turned 30 in June and regressed slightly this season from his career-best 2018-19 campaign. He still averaged 19.1 points and 6.7 assists per game and is an excellent defender, though, so his asking price should remain high.
The Celtics will have to weigh what price they're willing to pay for Holiday and his $25.4 million cap hit, especially if Kemba Walker stays in Boston's backcourt.
In any case, it sounds like the Pelicans have some leverage as Holiday garners interest from multiple clubs.
