The Boston Celtics are adding another player to their roster as training camp approaches.

The Boston Globe's Adam Himmelsbach reported Tuesday night the Celtics are signing Yante Maten to an Exhibit 10 contract.

Maten, who's listed at 6-foot-8 and 240 pounds, played two games as a rookie for the Miami Heat last season. Most of his 2018-19 action came in the NBA G-League, where his impressive play for the Sioux Falls Skyforce earned him a spot on the All-Rookie first team.

The 23-year-old power forward played four seasons at the University of Georgia and won the SEC Player of the Year award as a senior during the 2017-18 campaign. He averaged 19.3 points per game for the Bulldogs during his senior season, but went undrafted in 2018.

Maten likely will compete with several players, including 7-foot-6 center Tacko Fall, for the last roster spot in training camp and the preseason.
