Amile Jefferson's brief time with the Boston Celtics reportedly has come to an end.

Jayson Tatum's former Duke teammate, who signed an Exhibit 10 contract earlier this month, was released on Saturday according to Jared Weiss of The Athletic.

Jefferson played only four minutes of the preseason for Boston, all of which came during Friday night's loss to the Brooklyn Nets. The 27-year-old had one rebound and did not tally any points.

Jefferson played in 18 games with the Orlando Magic last season.

The Celtics will begin their regular season Wednesday night vs. the Milwaukee Bucks at 7:30 p.m. ET.
