Report: Opponent, location and time set for Celtics on Christmas Day

If you had Boston Celtics basketball on your Christmas list, your wish has been granted.

The Celtics are one of 10 teams set to play on Christmas Day, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The tentative Christmas schedule has the C's hosting Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets at 5 p.m. ET.

If the Celtics-Nets matchup holds true, it'll mark Irving's first game back at TD Garden since leaving the C's in free agency two summers ago. Of course, no fans will be at TD Garden to greet their former point guard.

The 2020-21 NBA season is set to begin on Dec. 22. The first half of the regular-season schedule has yet to be unveiled.
