NBA Rumors: French center Vincent Poirier, Celtics agree to two-year deal

Another day, another frontcourt addition for the Boston Celtics.

French big man Vincent Poirier has agreed to a two-year contract with the Celtics in free agency, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Tuesday.

Poirier will sign for the veteran minimum, per Brian Robb of the Boston Sports Journal.

Boston reportedly was among the teams interested in the 25-year-old center, who spent the past two seasons with the Spanish club team Baskonia in the EuroLeague.

Poirier, who averaged 9.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game for Baskonia last season, gives the C's more frontcourt depth alongside recent signing Enes Kanter as they attempt to fill the void left by Al Horford and Aron Baynes.

The 6-foot-11, 235-pound center joins second-year big man Robert Williams III and fellow Frenchman Guerschon Yabusele alongside Kanter on the Celtics' depth chart.
