The Boston Celtics added a much-needed shooter to their roster Wednesday night by selecting Vanderbilt forward Aaron Nesmith with the No. 14 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
Nesmith shot 52.2 percent on 8.2 attempts from 3-point range per game as a sophomore for Vanderbilt last season. He averaged 23 points last season but only played in 14 games because of a foot injury.
The Celtics came into the draft with three selections in the first round. They are also set to pick at No. 26 and No. 30, as well as No. 47 in the second round.
Early reviews on the selection of Nesmith have been overwhelmingly positive. Here's a roundup of notable Twitter reaction to the Celtics taking Nesmith at No. 14 in the first round.
