New Celtics draftee Grant Williams no fan of Kyrie Irving's ‘flat earth' theory

If you thought Kyrie Irving didn't get along with the young Celtics before, just wait until he hears new draft pick Grant Williams of Tennessee.

Is it any wonder Irving is leaving Boston?

In an interview with Shams Charania of Stadium, Williams, selected No. 22 overall by the Celtics in the first round on Thursday night, shot down Irving's flat-earth theory. Williams' mother is a NASA engineer, so he can definitely state that "Kyrie Earth-is-flat theory is just scientifically not true."

To be fair, Irving admitted last year that his Flat Earther days are over and it was all a put-on. As for Williams, he has a remarkable family background with his mother's work for NASA and father, a musician and former math teacher worked for years in the music industry, serving as a bodyguard for pop stars Michael Jackson and Prince. 

Williams sounded understandably excited to be headed to the C's in his post-draft tweet:
