Pelicans celebrate Lakers win with quality Anthony Davis troll job

Think there's no more bad blood between the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers over the Anthony Davis trade saga?

Think again.

The lowly Pelicans defeated LeBron James' Lakers in New Orleans on Saturday night (with Davis sidelined due to injury), a victory they likely savored after Los Angeles' very public failed attempt to trade for Davis prior to the Feb. 7 deadline.

So, New Orleans' Twitter account decided to rub it in a little bit.

"Good faith" ... Where have we heard that before? How about days after the deadline, when Lakers president Magic Johnson was asked if the Pelicans acted in good faith during Davis trade negotations and responded, "No"?

Ouch.

The Pels also made sure to include a photo of Cheick Diallo blocking Lakers forward Brandon Ingram, who was one of several players L.A. reportedly tried to offer them for Davis.

The Boston Celtics should be encouraging this feud, as they're expected to be a top suitor for Davis this offseason. The All-Star big man reportedly prefers to sign a long-term contract elsewhere once his contract expires after the 2020-21 season, but the C's reportedly are confident they can convince him otherwise.
