The Boston Celtics snapped their three-game losing skid on Saturday night as they blew out the New Orleans Pelicans, 140-105.
Jayson Tatum was the star, dropping a career-high 41 points in the win.

It would have been time to hit the panic button had the C's lost to the lowly, short-handed Pelicans at home.
Obviously, they avoided that disastrous scenario. But that doesn't make the three-game losing skid any less of worrisome. Falling to the 76ers -- who didn't have Joel Embiid -- for the third time this season rightfully cast some doubt on what this team is capable of come playoff time.

If this blowout victory was the start of a run for the Celtics, we can pretend that three-game skid never happened. But for now, a win over a depleted Pelicans team that was on the second night of a back-to-back doesn't change a thing.

2. After a bit of a cold spell, Jayson Tatum's about to get hot.
Verdict: Not an overreaction
Tatum, along with the rest of the Celtics' scorers, had been struggling before Saturday night's game. It's safe to say Tatum's cold streak has come to an end.
The 21-year-old had a career night, tallying 41 points on 16-of-22 shooting (6-of-9 from 3 pt.) to go along with six rebounds and four assists.
Tatum's taken a step forward in Year 3 of his career, but consistency has been a bit of an issue. Nonetheless, he showed what happens when he can get the easy shots to fall, and it looks like he's about to go on one of his hot streaks over the next few games.
3. Enes Kanter has been a godsend for the Celtics.
Verdict: Not an overreaction
Throughout the season, analysts and fans have been adamant about the Celtics needing a "legitimate big man" in order to be considered contenders in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, Kanter has been sensational.
Though Tatum was the Player of the Game on Saturday, Kanter's performance shouldn't be overlooked. He dropped 22 points and brought down 19 boards in 23 minutes, further solidifying himself as one of the C's unsung heroes thus far this season.
