Time Lord listed as questionable for C's-Nets Game 1

The Boston Celtics may be without Robert Williams when they begin their first-round playoff series vs. the Brooklyn Nets.

Williams was listed as questionable for Game 1 on Friday's Celtics injury report. The big man missed five of the C's final six regular season games due to a nagging turf toe injury, which he re-aggravated during the play-in game vs. Washington.

Other than Williams and Jaylen Brown, who recently underwent surgery on his left wrist, the Celtics are healthy heading into Saturday night's showdown.

While Williams' status is up in the air, there's hope he'll be able to suit up for Game 1. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported earlier Friday that Williams is expected to play.

The C's certainly could use Williams. Boston went 7-13 without Time Lord during the 2020-21 campaign and 10-3 with him in the starting lineup. Williams averaged 8.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 blocks in 52 games this season.

Tip-off for Game 1 is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on Saturday.
