Rozier calling the shots against Bledsoe and Bucks

BOSTON – Terry Rozier has made quite a name for himself in the Boston Celtics’ first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks.

But, apparently, Rozier has slipped under Eric Bledsoe's radar (wink-wink), despite the fact that he's scored early and often against the Milwaukee guard in the first two games of the series.

When asked about Rozier, who has played 78 minutes in this series without turning the ball over once, Bledsoe replied: “I don’t even know who the [expletive] that is."

Well the rest of the world is learning quite a bit about Rozier who had 23 points, eight assists and one blocked shot without turning the ball over once in Boston's 120-106 Game 2 victory Tuesday night, which piggybacked off a just-an-impressive performance in Game 1:

“I just got that confidence,” Rozier said before the game, adding that “My teammates, my coach, they trust in me to get everybody in their spots, to run the plays. That’s just part of being a point guard, protecting the ball. I’m going to do what I can to protect the ball and get my guys open to make plays and put us in the position to win. That’s just part of it. I don’t notice stuff like that with the turnovers, but that’s a good thing to have and I just want to keep it going.”

Whatever Bledsoe’s rationale for saying he didn’t know who Rozier was, you can rest assured Celtics Nation won’t let him forget when the Bucks return to the TD Garden for Game 5.

And that’s assuming Milwaukee wins at least one of the next two games at home.
