Steph Curry says Kyrie Irving on ‘Mt. Rushmore' of NBA ball-handlers

BOSTON – When it comes to breaking down defenders, Kyrie Irving tends to find his way on to just about everyone’s short list for current NBA players?

But is he one of the NBA’s all-time great ankle breakers?

MORE CELTICS:

Golden State’s Steph Curry certainly thinks so.

Curry, in an interview with NBA TV’s Steve Smith, said his Mt. Rushmore of ball-handlers would include himself and yes, Kyrie Irving on the four-man list. In addition to himself and Irving, Curry’s said his list would also include Magic Johnson and Pistol Pete Maravich.

“He's [Irving] got the stuff that will embarrass you,” said NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas who broke down more than his share of defenders during his time with the Detroit Pistons. “Kyrie got that stuff that makes you go home and cry to your momma.”

Irving’s crossover dribble has paved the way for a ton of points and for some unsuspecting defender, a moment of embarrassment (see below).

And while most of Irving’s memorable ankle-breaking moments came during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, here’s a look at some of his more memorable crossover moments last season, his first with the Celtics.
