Stephen Curry isn't holding anything against Marcus Smart for Wednesday's controversial collision that sidelined him with a foot injury.

Smart dove for a loose ball during the Boston Celtics' win over the Golden State Warriors and injured Curry's left foot in the process. The incident led to a tense exchange between Smart and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who called the C's guard's dive a "dangerous play."

Curry shared his take on the matter during his press conference on Sunday.

"He didn't try to hurt me," the two-time NBA MVP told reporters. "There's a certain way that he plays that I don't think many people would have made the play that he did, but I don't think it was malicious or dirty or trying to hurt me. It was kind of just a tough situation.

"Like I said, just the way that he plays. There's a conversation around should he or shouldn't he have, but it wasn't like he looked at me and was like, 'I'm trying to hurt that dude.' So, it's basketball."

Curry's comments echo those of his Warriors teammate Draymond Green, who also declined to categorize Smart's actions as "dirty."

The Warriors will be without Curry for at least two weeks. The good news for Golden State is Curry expects to return before Game 1 of the NBA playoffs.
