The 2022 NBA Finals is just a few hours away, and the final predictions for this series between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics are rolling in.

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith has revealed his pick for this much-anticipated Finals, and he's going with the Warriors to win in a Game 7 at home.

Will C's young core fare better in NBA Finals debut than previous examples?

It would be the Warriors' fourth title in the last eight years.

Check out Smith's prediction in the video below:

If you look at the expert predictions for the series, the Warriors definitely have a majority of the people on their side. It does make sense, given Golden State's talent level and championship experience. This will be the Warriors' sixth Finals appearance since 2015. They know what to expect on the sport's most grand stage.

But we shouldn't discount the Celtics' chances of winning. They have the best defense in the league, multiple players capable of scoring 20-plus points any night, a deep roster and a very talented rookie head coach in Ime Udoka. They're also battle tested, having won two Game 7s already this postseason, including one on the road versus the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Celtics also are the only team with a winning record (9-7) against the Warriors since Steve Kerr took over as Golden State's head coach in 2014-15.

Tipoff for Game 1 of the NBA Finals is set for 9 p.m. ET on Thursday night.
