Surprise! Video of Isaiah Thomas reacting to trade shows he was pissed

Isaiah Thomas has been vocal in his unhappiness with Danny Ainge’s decision to trade him, but video released of him learning about the trade reveals he was actually OK with it at the time.

Kidding. He was obviously pissed.

“What are you talking about?” Thomas says in a video from this summer shot by the Players’ Tribune.  "My kids [are] about to start school. Off the strength, after everything I went through, [expletive]. You’re not supposed to do that. But it’s… I mean, if that’s what he wants. Danny’s like that.

“But I mean, I’m not trippin’. It’s just crazy that they would do that. Like, I’m not mad. I would be mad if I went to a weak-ass team. It’s like, we gonna win the Finals anyway. That’s what’s crazy, but it’s like, ‘Damn, after all I do for [Boston].’

“The city’s going to be mad as [expletive].”

Following is the video, which contains explicit language.

Thomas has made no lie about his feelings for Ainge since the C’s president of basketball operations dealt him in the Kyrie Irving trade. Most notably, he said in October that he doesn’t think he’ll ever speak to Ainge again.

After spending parts of three seasons with the C’s, Thomas is nearing his Cavaliers debut as he returns from a hip injury that held up this summer’s blockbuster between Boston and Cleveland.
