Tacko Fall: Tom Brady ‘a different type of animal' to be playing at his age

All signs currently point toward Tom Brady gearing up for his 21st NFL season, during which he'll be 43 years old. Tacko Fall can't help but marvel at that outstanding accomplishment.

Fall was asked before Wednesday's Spurs-C's matchup about the New England Patriots quarterback and, like many of his fellow Boston athletes, had high praise.

"Tom Brady is the greatest," Fall said. "People gonna have good days, bad days, but that doesn't define him. He knows who he is, and I'm sure he'll pull through and make things happen."

As for whether Fall plans to take after Brady and have Tacko-mania extend into his mid-40s, don't count on it.

"I doubt it," Fall said. "You've got to be a certain -- different type of animal to do that. That's amazing to be able to play at that level, at that age."

C's head coach Brad Stevens echoed Fall's sentiment, saying he "can't imagine" doing what Brady's doing.

While Brady's hint that he won't retire undoubtedly prompted a sigh of relief from Patriots fans, there's still plenty of uncertainty looming this offseason as the six-time Super Bowl champion is set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 18.
