WATCH: Al Horford denies Max Strus at rim


No player in NBA history as appeared in more postseason games without making an NBA Finals than Al Horford, and he appears dead set on changing that.

The Boston Celtics big man did a little bit of everything in the first quarter against the Miami Heat, coming up a 3-point field goal, two rebounds, two assists, a steal and one emphatic block to set the tone on the defensive side of the floor:

That was some serious elevation from the 6-foot-9 Horford, protecting a double digit lead which turned into Boston's largest after one quarter ever in a Game 7, at 32-17.

Sunday's Game 7 marks the 140th postseason contest for Horford, now in his 15th season. He celebrates his 36th birthday on Friday, one day after Game 1 of the NBA Finals is scheduled to take place. How would that be for an early gift?
