Watch Isaiah Thomas embrace Marcus Smart, Brad Stevens before Celtics-Nuggets

It's going to be an emotional Monday night at TD Garden.

Denver Nuggets guard Isaiah Thomas is expected to see his first game action against the Celtics in Boston since the C's traded him to the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of the Kyrie Irving blockbuster in August of 2017.

A few hours before tip-off, Thomas was getting in a pre-game workout on the Garden parquet when Celtics head coach Brad Stevens walked by and gave his former player a hug. Thomas also had a nice embrace with Celtics guard Marcus Smart and others from the C's organization.

Check out the scenes in the video below:

The Nuggets guard was wearing some pretty sweet green and gold shoes during his warmup as well.

Thomas will get a tribute video from the Celtics during the first quarter, which is sure to draw an incredible reaction from fans in attendance. He only spent a little more than two seasons in Boston, but few Celtics players over the last decade have received more love from the fans than No. 4.
