Jayson Tatum vs. Jaylen Brown in the 2021 NBA All-Star Game certainly lived up to the hype.
The two Boston Celtics stars were on opposite sides for the first time as Tatum represented Team Durant and Brown suited up for Team LeBron. After trading barbs leading up to the game, they quickly were forced to back up their talk on the court.
Brown went 1-on-1 with Tatum early in the second quarter in what was a delightful moment for Celtics fans. The play ended with Tatum fouling Brown on the drive, and Tatum was none too pleased with the call.
Brown probably will let Tatum hear about that one for a while.
Both C's stood out in Sunday's All-Star Game. Tatum finished with 21 points, seven assists, and four steals while Brown tallied 22 points, five rebounds, and two steals.
Brown and Team LeBron came out on top with a 170-150 victory.
